Its Contagious

I went outside today and my driveway was completely covered in snow .. I knew I hand about 2 hours of shovelling ahead of me.

All of a sudden, my neighbour showed up with his snow blower!  15 minutes later my driveway was clean .. amazing.

A little later I went out to the store and I saw a few people stuck in their car.  Now I ‘probably’ would have stopped anyway, but seeing as my neighbour helped me out, I most definitely stopped.  After I helped pushing out the family, I felt great.  A little rush from helping  someone else up.  I’d love to know if anyone has done any studies, but it would definitely seem like we’re hardwired to help other people out.

The Million Pound Miracle is based on this.  You help yourself, you help a chairty and everyone spreads the feeling.  Imagine if we leveraged this more in our everyday life.

Its contagious!

Miracles Happen

Their are a ton of different types of miracles, like this or this or this.

Most of the time we don’t here about the miracles until after they have happened.  After it happens we looks back and talk about what worked, what didn’t and what we were thinking.  Unfortunately, this post-review can be biased.  This blog will be tracking us as we make our own miralce happen here www.millionpoundmiracle.com

We’ll let you know what’s working as we do it, what we’re thinking and you’ll be able to see what mistakes we make.  Hopefully, you’ll even be able to help us out and give us a few suggestions as we work to make our own little miracle.

Here’s to starting with the end in mind, the power of now and being real.

Thanks for listening and thanks for your help.

Hello world!

Welcome to Making Miracles!

It strikes me that miracles are all relative.  The generic definition of miracle is something like:

  • “An extrodinary event that surpasses all known human or natural powers” or
  • “A wonder ; marvel”

The key for me is a miracle should be viewed from a personal point of view.  If we went back in time, watching planes fly would be a miracle.  Cars, printing presses and even fire were all at one time a miracle.  in addition, for the guy who has been overweight all of his life, loosing 50 pounds is a miracle.  Getting a dream job, starting a company, raising $1 Million for charity and running a marathon are all miracles for somebody.

This blog is focussed on discussing, analyzing and making miracles come true, with a big focus on the people involved.  If you know of someone:

  • who has made a miracle come true (big or small), I’d love to hear from you.  I’d love to hear, what they accomplished, how they did it, what problems they had and what they’ve learned.
  • who is attempting something miraculous
  • who tried something heroic that just didn’t work out

My goal here is that overtime, we’ll all be able to:

  • be inspired to take action by the number of miracles taking place everyday,
  • learn more about what it takes to make a miracle; and
  • get help making our own miracles.

Maybe the next person to make a miracle come true will be you.
